In general, 97,000 tons of goods worth about $115 million were exported from industrial parks of the Semnan Province (northern Iran) in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Chairman of the Semnan Province Industrial Parks Organization Hassan Al Bouyeh told journalists, Trend reports citing the IRNA.
The chairman stressed that the goods were exported by 17 enterprises operating in industrial parks of the province. The exported goods were mainly detergents, wire, disposable dishes, ceramics, polyethylene pipes and etc.
Al Bouyeh added that a number of issues prevented the increase in exports from industrial parks in the province in the last Iranian year. It is hoped that these issues will be resolved in the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).
As reported, there are 18 industrial parks in Iran's Semnan Province. These industrial parks are located in about 6,880 hectares of land. About 90 percent of the manufacturing enterprises in the industrial parks are small industries, 6 percent - medium-sized industries, and the rest - large industries.
