Unique for Central Asia tourist complex launched in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan’s Karavansaray Turkistan, which is a unique tourist complex in Central Asia, has started its operation, Trend reports citing the Development Bank of Kazakhstan.

The construction was financed by Turkish investors jointly with Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (DBK).

The launch of Karavansaray Turkistan is aimed at the socio-economic development of the entire region. Thanks to its launch, over the next 20 years, the local budget will receive more than 18 billion tenge ($41.5 million) of tax deductions.

During the operation of the complex, the number of people employed in the service sector will reach 700 people. The complex will provide permanent jobs for local residents who have undergone appropriate training, have higher education and knowledge of languages. As part of the exchange of experience and the formation of world standards in the service sector, foreign specialists in the field of show productions from France were involved.

At the same time, the implementation of the project will create an impetus for the development of pilgrimage, gastronomic, historical and educational tourism with a stay of at least 3 days.

The cost of the project was 87 billion tenge ($200 million), including the funds provided DBK in the amount of 40 billion tenge ($92.3 million).

Construction and installation work was carried out at the expense of the Bank, equipment for the tourist complex was purchased. The construction of Karavansaray was carried out during the period of quarantine measures in compliance with all necessary sanitary and epidemiological safety measures.
