Precious metals production down in Kazakhstan

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed silver in Kazakhstan has amounted to 264,311 kg over the period from Jan. through Mar. 2021, which is 14.3 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

According to the data, non-processed and semi-processed silver production amounted to 90,268 kg in Mar. 2021, which is 12.2 percent less than in Mar. 2020.

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed gold increased by 17.2 percent during the reporting months, having amounted to 29,176 kg (9,764 kg in Mar. 2021, increase by 8.7 percent compared to Mar. 2020).

Production of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide amounted to 377,957 tons during the reporting period, which indicates a decrease of 5.7 percent compared to the same period of last year. The production volume of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide was 122,330 tons in Mar. 2021, which is 11.9 percent less than in Mar. 2020.

Manufacturing of non-processed refined lead amounted to 28,381 tons over the reporting period, which is 6.7 percent less than during the same period of 2020. The volume of non-processed refined lead produced in Mar. 2021 was 10,791 tons, which is 12.2 percent more than in Mar. 2020.

Production of non-processed zinc amounted to 78,448 tons, which is 4 percent more than during the same period of 2020 (27,391 tons in Mar. 2021, decrease by 1.4 percent compared to Mar. 2020).

As reported, the manufacturing of non-processed non-alloyed refined copper amounted to 123,159 tons, which is 0.7 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (41,221 tons in Mar. 2021, down by 5.8 percent compared to Mar. 2020).

Manufacturing of other non-ferrous metals and products from them amounted to 7,050 tons, which is 48.1 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (3,110 tons in Mar. 2021, decrease by 37.2 percent compared to Mar. 2020).
