Health and social sector, as well as agriculture are the sectors that the Czech Development Agency supports in cooperation with Georgia, said the had of the agency, Jan Sliva, Trend reports via Georgian media.

Sliva said that Georgia has become a priority for Czech Republic since 2009. Georgia accounts for a large share of the development cooperation.

“Basically, all the projects that we do somehow help development in Georgia. We have a project for beekeepers. We also have a complex project in the forestry area. So all these projects are designed to help agriculture and land development in Georgia,” Sliva notes.

As he noted, these projects are always discussed with the Georgian authorities.

“In 2021, we have 18 projects for Georgia. We have smaller grants, - 100,000-200,000 euros. We have a large project, dealing with forestry. This is a very complex project dealing with forestry from all angles. We have continued health sector projects. We have a very wide portfolio”, Sliva said.
