Production and service facilities were created for 20 projects in Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic with state support for economic activity in various fields in the first quarter of 2021, Trend reports referring to the report of Nakhchivan’s State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, in the reporting period, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic continued to implement 41 industrial projects.
"In order to develop industry in the republic, from January through March of this year, banks and credit organizations issued loans in the amount of 4.7 million manat ($2.7 million) to business entities," the report said.
As a result of the production growth in 1Q2021, Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic exported industrial products worth $41,613, added the committee.
The volume of GDP of Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic amounted to 557.4 million manat ($327.8 million) from January through March 2021, which is 0.6 percent more compared to the same period of 2020,
At the same time, GDP per capita in the autonomous republic amounted to 1,207 manat ($710), having increased by 1.3 percent on an annualized basis.
