Oil production volumes down in Kazakhstan

The volume of oil extraction in Kazakhstan amounted to 28.1 million tons from January through April 2021, which is 10.1 percent less than during the same months of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Industrial manufacturing in the country increased by 0.8 percent compared to the reporting period of 2020.

Thus, the manufacturing of copper ore amounted to 42 million tons, which is 15.5 percent more compared to the reporting months of 2020. Manufacturing of petrol amounted to 1.5 million tons (increase by 5.2 percent).

Manufacturing of Portland cement was 3.3 million tons, which is 22 percent more than during the same period of 2020. Manufacturing of flat metal was 0.9 million tons (increase by 23.6 percent), of gasoil to 1.6 million tons (up by 5.2 percent), of electricity to 40.1 billion kWh (increase by 4.8 percent).

Manufacturing of food products, beverages, tobacco, rubber and plastic products, other non-metallic mineral products, chemical and pharmaceutical products, the metallurgical industry and mechanical engineering increased during the reporting period of 2021 compared to the same period of 2020. The production of coal, crude oil and natural gas has declined.
