Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:
Georgia may become a provider of airplane parts and repair services, Trend reports via Georgian media.
Research on its potential has already started and the results will be known soon.
"We started very interesting research with United States Agency for International Development (USAID), which is related to the airplane parts and its repair services", noted Tornike Zirakishvili, Deputy Director of the Produce in Georgia agency.
Produce in Georgia agency is waiting for the completion of this research by the end of the year and it hopes that it will be able to attract investors in this direction as well.
USAID began operating in Georgia in 1992. For 27 years, the US has provided over $1.8 billion in assistance to Georgia through USAID.
