New greenhouse for growing exotic trees being built in Turkmenistan

Turkmen Daıhan sarpasy company is building a greenhouse for growing exotic trees in the Akhal region of the country, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenportal information portal.

The company plans to grow bananas of dwarf varieties in the amount of 3,000 tons per year and oranges - 800 tons per year.

The Mary and Lebap regions of Turkmenistan have already established the production of tropical fruits.

There are other exotic fruits growing in Turkmenistan. For example, in the greenhouse of the Turkmen Agricultural University, fruits of exotic papaya were cultivated.

Agriculture in Turkmenistan is developing rapidly. It is one of the most important sectors of the country's economy. The main types of agricultural crops grown on the territory of Turkmenistan are wheat, cotton, rice, sugar beet, fodder, vegetable, and fruits.
