The value of Turkish steel exports to Georgia has risen from January through May 2021, Turkey's Ministry of Trade told Trend.
According to the ministry, this indicator amounted to over $48.6 million, up by 10.1 percent compared to the first five months of last year.
Turkey exported steel worth over $11.2 million to Georgia in May 2021, which is by 72.1 percent more than in the same month of 2020, the ministry said.
Turkey as a whole has increased the export of steel by 48.9 percent from January through May 2021 compared to the same period of last year up to nearly $7.2 billion.
Turkey exported steel worth over $1.7 billion in May 2021, which is by 114 percent more than in the same month of 2020.
The export of Turkey’s steel reached $14.9 billion over the past 12 months (from May 2020 through May 2021).
