Georgia is one of the ten biggest buyers of Russian caviar, said the Center for Industry Expertise of the Russian Agricultural Bank (TSOE), Trend reports via Georgian media.
The document states that the export of Russian caviar to world markets in 2020 increased by 12 percent compared to the previous year, and in five years it almost doubled.
The US showed the strongest growth in demand: shipments increased from 4 tons in 2016 to 28 tons in 2020, that is, by 640 percent.
The leadership is held by Ukraine (604 tons), followed by Belarus, Kazakhstan and Moldova. The top ten also includes Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan and China.
