Exports from Iran’s Markazi Province up

The exports from the Markazi Province (central Iran) increased by 124 percent in terms of value and 19 percent in terms of volume during the first three months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through June 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Deputy Governor of Markazi Province Saeed Farrokhi told journalists, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

According to the deputy, 351,000 tons of non-oil products worth $277 million were exported from the Markazi Province over the reporting period.

“These products were exported to 74 countries, including Turkey, Iraq, Afghanistan, the UAE, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Bulgaria,” he added.

Farrokhi stressed that while in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2021), $100 million worth of non-oil products were exported from the Markazi Province.

The deputy governor noted that the exported products were mainly various hydrocarbons, fittings, glass, light and heavy polyethylene, aluminum ingots, steel products, foodstuffs, ceramics, etc.

“Moreover, $120 million worth of goods were imported to the Makrazi Province in the three months. The imports increased by 119 percent in terms of value, compared to the same period last Iranian,” Farrokhi said.

The official emphasized the imported goods were mainly raw materials for equipment and manufacturing. These goods were imported from 37 countries, including China, Turkey, the UAE, Ecuador, the Czech Republic, India and Germany.
