Iran discloses details of its exports via customs of Qom Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 28

In total, 45,200 tons of goods worth $38.5 million were exported through the customs of Qom Province (northern Iran) during the first three months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through June 21, 2021), Director General of Qom Province Customs Office, Esfandiar Derikvandi said, Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

According to Derikvandi, exports increased by 153 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“In addition, 12,700 tons of goods worth $52.2 million were imported through the customs of Qom Province in the three months. The imported goods were mainly strategically important essential products, equipment needed by manufacturing enterprises,” he added.

The director-general noted that customs revenues of the province amounted to 469 billion rials (about $11.1 million) within the mentioned period, which is an increase of 64 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

As reported, Iran exported 30 million tons of goods worth $10.7 billion during the first three months of the current Iranian year. Iran's exports increased by 69 percent in terms of value and 38 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Iran imported 8.4 million tons of goods worth $10.2 billion in the three months of the current Iranian year, which is an increase of 34 percent in terms of value and a decrease of 6 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
