Sales of Iranian major mining companies soar

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 12

The sales of Iranian major mining companies increased by 160 percent during the first three months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through June 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

According to the report, 74 Iranian mining companies sold 1.35 billion rials (about $32 billion) worth of goods at the Iranian Stock Exchange within the mentioned period. This is accounted for 34 percent of the total sales of a stock exchange.

While in the 3rd month of the current Iranian year (May 22 through June 21, 2021), these companies sold goods worth more than 552 trillion rials (about $13 billion). This is an increase of 185 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.

“The top five mining companies in terms of sales at the Iranian Stock Exchange over the three months were: Mobarakeh Steel Company – 121 trillion rials (about $2.88 billion), National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICICO) – 65 trillion rials (about $1.55 billion), Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company – 44 trillion rials (about $1.04 billion), Khouzestan Steel Company – 35 trillion rials (about $833 million), Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company – 21 trillion rials (about $500 million),” the report said.
