Iran's raw steel production amounted to about 8.07 million tons during the first three months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through June 21, 2021), which is an increase of 6 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing the Iranian Steel Producers Association (ISPA).
According to the statistics, in the same period last Iranian year, Iran produced 7.58 million tons of raw steel.
“Furthermore, 5.39 million tons of steel products were produced in Iran over the 3 months. This is an increase of 7 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, 5.04 million tons of steel products were produced in Iran in the same period last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

According to the statistics, Iran produced 8.75 million tons of sponge iron within the first three months of the current Iranian year. This is an increase of 8 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.
So, 8.13 million tons of sponge iron were produced in Iran in the same period last Iranian year.
