As many as 848 manufacturing enterprises are currently under construction in the Markazi Province (central Iran), Chairman of Industry, Mine, and Trade Organization of Markazi Province Saeed Jafari said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.
According to Jafari, physical progress of these enterprises is between 2-90 percent. So far, about 160 trillion rials (about $3.8 billion) has been spent on these enterprises. Over 30,000 people will be employed after the launch of the enterprises.
The chairman added that the largest number of enterprises are being built in Arak County – 214 enterprises, in Zarandieh County – 190 enterprises and in Saveh County – 178 enterprises.
“While the smallest number of enterprises are being built in Khondab County – 4 enterprises and in Tafresh County – 9 enterprises,” he said.
Jafari noted that 481 of these facilities have more than 60 percent physical progress. More than 593 trillion rials (about $14.1 billion) is to be spent on these enterprises in total. About 18,000 people are expected to be employed at these enterprises after launch. The enterprises are mainly located in Arak County (138 enterprises), Saveh County (102 enterprises), Zarandieh County (102 enterprises).
