Iran’s non-oil exports through east ports of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 46 percent during the first four months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through July 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director of Sahid Bahonar Ports and Maritime Department, Hamidreza Mohammad Hosseini said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to him, 666,000 tons of non-oil products were exported to countries around the Persian Gulf, including Oman and the UAE over the 4 months. The main exported goods were fruits and vegetables, sulfur, construction materials and food products.
The director added that at the same time, 208,000 tons of oil products were exported from the ports in east of Hormozgan Province within the mentioned period.
Hosseini noted that in addition, 21,500 tons of goods were transited through these ports in the four months. Transit increased by 48 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
