The value of exports from Azerbaijan to Russia exceeded $486.5 million from January through July 2021, which is 13 percent more compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of the State Customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan.
At the same time, the share of Russia in the total export of Azerbaijan amounted to 4.27 percent, while in the first 7 months of 2020 this figure was 4.72 percent, the SCC said.
During this period, Russian imports from Azerbaijan reached $1.06 billion, and the share of Russia in Azerbaijani imports decreased over the year by 1.48 percent - to 16.88 percent.
The foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia in the first seven months of 2021 reached $1.55 billion, while the trade balance remained negative - at $576.4 million.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover in the reporting approached $17.7 billion. Of these, exports accounted for $11.3 billion (64.4 percent), and imports - $6.3 billion (35.6 percent).
