According to Uzbekistan State Statistics Committee, as of summer 2021, 43,700 construction companies are operating in the country, which is 11,300 more compared to 2019, Trend reports citing the State Statistics Committee.
In comparison with 2019, the growth rate of enterprises and organizations engaged in the construction of buildings and structures amounted to 110.7 percent.
Accordingly, the growth rate of enterprises and organizations engaged in the construction of civilian objects amounted to 108.2 percent, and the growth rate of construction organizations engaged in specialized construction work amounted to 85.1 percent.
Moreover, according to the State Statistics Committee, as of today, the number of organizations that have carried out research and development projects in different sectors amounted to 254 units: 108 organizations in the public sector, 79 in the business sector, 65 in the higher education sector, and 2 in the private non-profit sector.
Furthermore, in January-July 2021, the number of newly created enterprises and organizations in Uzbekistan (excluding farms) increased by 3.1 times compared to the corresponding period of 2016.
