IRICA reveals data on Iran’s imports from Switzerland and Germany

Iran imported 371,000 tons of goods worth $328 million from Switzerland in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 23 through September 22, 2021), the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing the administration.

The spokesman said that Iran's imports from Switzerland for the reporting month, increased by 893 percent in terms of value and 1,750 percent in terms of volume compared to the same month last Iranian year.

Latifi also added that Iran imported 44,000 tons of goods worth $237 million from Germany in the 6th month, which is an increase of 35 percent in terms of value and 81 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same month last Iranian year.

As reported, Iran's non-oil trade turnover for the 6th month of the current Iranian year amounted to 19.8 million tons worth $10.6 billion. This is an increase of 98 percent in terms of value and 135 percent in terms of volume, compared to the 5th month (July 23 through August 22, 2021).
