Uzbekistan imported 33,000 tons of cement from Turkmenistan in the first nine months of 2021, Trend reports citing the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
During the reporting period, the total volume of import amounted to 2.2 million tons, which is an increase of 448,800 tons, on annual basis.
The imported cement's value equaled $105.2 million.
Kazakhstan became the leader in the supply of cement to Uzbekistan from January through September this year with an export volume of 964,000 tons, followed by Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan with 560,000 and 547,000 tons, respectively.
