Amount of launched industrial enterprises in Iran growing

The number of industrial enterprises launched in Iran increased by 2 percent, during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran.

According to the statistics, 3,370 enterprises were launched in Iran in 6 months. Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 3,300 enterprises.

“With the launch of these enterprises, 76,500 people were provided with jobs in the country within six months. The employment increased by 19.9 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, 63,800 people had been employed in the same period last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

A total of 1.18 quadrillion rials (about $28.1 billion) was spent on the launch of enterprises in 6 months. This is 149 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year. So, the figure amounted 475 trillion rials (about $11.3 billion) in the same period last Iranian year.

Furthermore, 18,200 enterprises in country were licensed for setting up. About 5.76 quadrillion rials (about $137 billion) is to be spent on these enterprises. About 439,000 people will be employed if these enterprises are launched.
