The total trade turnover of Kazakhstan with the CIS countries amounted to $29.3 billion, 30.2 percent ($22.5 billion) more than the same period in 2020, according to the results from January through November 2021, Trend reports with reference to the Committee on Statistics of Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
According to the agency, Russia, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan became the largest trading partners of Kazakhstan among the CIS countries during this period.
Thus, following the results of January-November 2021, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Russia totaled $21.7 billion, which is 29.6 percent more ($16.7 billion) than in the same period of 2020.
The share of Russia in the total trade of Kazakhstan increased to 23.8 percent (21.2 percent in January-November 2020).
Export from Kazakhstan to Russia for 11 months amounted to $6.2 billion, 38.4 percent ($4.5 billion) more than the same period in 2021, and its import accounted for $15.4 billion, an increase of 26.3 percent relative to January - November 2020 ($12.2 billion).
In second place is Uzbekistan, whose turnover with Kazakhstan reached $3.4 billion, which is 33.7 percent more than in January-November 2020 ($2.5 billion). Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's exports to Uzbekistan amounted to $2.5 billion (an increase of 35.3 percent), and imports - $939.6 million (an increase of 29.8 percent).
The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan from January through November 2021 totaled $1.03 billion, 43.6 percent more than in the same period of 2020 ($717.6 million).
At the same time, Kazakhstani exports amounted to $720.9 million ($630.5 million in January-November 2020), and imports reached $309.3 million ($87.1 million).
