Kazakhstan reports decrease in manufacturing of some precious metals

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed silver in Kazakhstan amounted to 1.01 million kg over the period from January through December 2021, which is 1.7 percent less than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

According to the data, non-processed and semi-processed silver production amounted to 93,849 kg in December 2021, which is 13 percent less than in December 2020.

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed gold decreased by 1.9 percent during the reporting period, having amounted to 114,690 kg (10,271 kg in December 2021, a decrease of 29.1 percent compared to December 2020).

Production of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide amounted to 1.5 million tons during the reporting period, which indicates a decrease of 4.2 percent compared to the same period of last year.

The production volume of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide was 152,986 tons in December 2021, which is 5.2 percent more than in December 2020.

Manufacturing of non-processed refined lead amounted to 115,981 tons over the reporting period, which is 6 percent less than during the same period of 2020. The volume of non-processed refined lead produced in December 2021 was 9,731 tons, which is 8.4 percent more than in December 2020.

Production of non-processed zinc amounted to 326,883 tons, which is 5 percent more than during the same period of 2020 (27,713 tons in December 2021, up by 11.1 percent compared to December 2020).

As reported, the manufacturing of non-processed non-alloyed refined copper amounted to 458,604 tons, which is 3.9 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (63,660 tons in December 2021, which is 67.9 percent more than in December 2020).

Manufacturing of other non-ferrous metals and products from them amounted to 42,942 tons, which is 15.1 percent more than during the same period of 2020 (4,673 tons in December 2021, up by 2.4 times compared to December 2020).
