Iran shares data on non-oil exports from Ardabil Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb. 9

The value of Iran’s non-oil exports from the Ardabil Province (north-western Iran) amounted to about $400 million over the past year (January 20, 2021 through January 20, 2022), Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Ardabil Province Ramin Sadeghi said, Trend reports citing the organization.

The chairman noted that the main part of exports from the Ardabil Province were accounted for foodstuff - 35 percent, agricultural products - 20 percent and mining products - 10 percent.

Sadeghi added that the province’s goods were mainly exported to Azerbaijan, Georgia and Iraq.

“As for exported goods from Ardabil Province, steel, MDF, fruits, vegetables, glass materials and mirrors, construction materials, tomatoes were the main exported goods,” he said.

There are about 1,045 manufacturing enterprises operating in Iran's Ardabil Province. These enterprises employ 25,000 people.
