The Iranian government is increasing mining permits and certificates in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021) compared to the last Iranian year (started March 20, 2020), said the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, Trend news reports citing IRNA.
The released report by the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade shows that 797 exploration permits have been issued during the first nine months of the current Iranian year with 13.9 percent growth compared to the same time in the last Iranian year.
Total of 355 certificates for discovery and 380 permits for the operation were issued from March 21 to December 21 indicating a 3.5 percent and 17.7 percent increase compared to the last year.
The cost of exploration operation has increased 294 percent during the first nine months of the Iranian year from 911 billion rials ($21 million) to 3.5 trillion rials ($83 million).
