IRICA shares data on Iran’s trade turnover with EAEU member states

The value of Iran's trade turnover with the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) amounted to $5.03 billion, during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through February, 2022), compared to the same period last year, Director General of the International Cooperation Department of the Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Hossein Kakhaki said, Trend reports citing IRICA.

According to him, this is an increase of 48 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Kakhaki added that Iran exported about $1.08 billion worth of goods to the EAEU member states in 11 months, which is an increase of 15 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“Iran exported $548 million worth of goods to Russia, about $167 million worth to Kazakhstan, $74 million worth to Kyrgyzstan, $16.2 million worth to Belarus and $279 million worth to remaining member countries,” Kakhaki said.

The director general noted that Iran imported $3.95 billion worth of goods from the EAEU member states within the mentioned period. Imports increased by 95 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

He also pointed out that over 11 months, Iran imported $3.57 billion worth of goods from Russia, $342 million worth from Kazakhstan, $27.7 million worth from Belarus, $1.6 million worth from Kyrgyzstan and $7.77 million worth from remaining member countries.
