BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 25. Kazakhstan’s revenues from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport amounted to 33.5 billion tenge ($66.3 million) from January through February 2022, which is 29.5 percent more than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport in February 2022 amounted to 17.8 billion tenge ($35.2 million), which is 37.6 percent more than during the same period of 2021.

The volume of cargo, luggage transported via road transport during the reporting period amounted to 447.4 million tons, which is 1.6 percent more compared to the same period of last year (220.07 million tons in February 2022, up by 2.6 percent year-on-year).

Cargo turnover amounted to 21.4 billion ton-kilometers which is 1.4 percent less than during the same period of last year (10.4 billion in February 2022, a decrease of 3.1 percent).

In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 14.7 billion tenge ($29.2 million) over the reporting period of 2022, which is 11.9 percent more than during the same period of last year. February revenue from passenger transportation was 8.4 billion tenge ($16.6 million), which is 21.3 percent more compared to February 2021.

The number of transported passengers amounted to 988.6 million people, which is 24.6 percent more than during the same period of last year (514.1 million passengers in February 2022, up by 24.8 percent).

The passenger turnover amounted to 10.7 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is an increase of 21.7 percent.

The passenger turnover in February was 5.6 billion (23 percent more year-on-year).
