BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 11. The sales of 74 major Iranian mining companies increased by 71 percent, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), compared to the preceding Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, the sales of 74 companies for the last Iranian year amounted to 5.53 quadrillion rials (about $132 billion).
Thus, the sales of Mobarakeh Steel Company exceeded 1.43 quadrillion rials (about $34 billion) last Iranian year. This is 89 percent more than in the preceding Iranian year.
In addition, the sales Khouzestan Steel Company for the last Iranian year amounted to 500 trillion rials (about $11.9 billion). This is an increase of 64 percent, compared to the preceding Iranian year.
The sales of mining companies accounted for about 21 percent of total sales at Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in last Iranian year.
