TEHRAN, Iran, April 22. Iran Khodro (IKCO) is planning to increase auto production and reduce defective vehicles, said the IKCO Managing Director Mehdi Khatibi, Trend reports citing Fars News Agency.
"The priority is to reduce defective vehicles stored at the warehouses. The company has focused on completing these vehicles and supplying them to the market," he said
According to the official, the Iranian automaker has supplied more than 100,000 vehicles to the market since February 20.
He pointed out that Iran Khodro's production target for the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2022) is 750,000 vehicles including passenger cars, pickup trucks, and heavy commercial vehicles.
The company is supplying new products and suspending old models from the production line to improve the quality of production. Iran Khodro is cooperating with SAIPA to reduce production costs.
