Iran aims to increase non-oil exports from Kermanshah Province

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 25. Iran aims to reach the value of non-oil exports from the Kermanshah Province (western Iran) at $3 billion, during the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023), Chairman of the Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Kermanshah Province, Mohsen Darabi told ISNA, Trend reports.

According to Darabi, taking into account the province’s production potential, it is possible to export non-oil products at this value.

The chairman also added that among the Iranian provinces, the Kermanshah Province is the fourth largest exporter of non-oil products, after Hormozgan, Bushehr and Khuzestan provinces.

“Iran exported about $2.89 billion worth of non-oil products from Kermanshah Province in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022). This means that the target is achieved by 102 percent,” he said.

Whereas Iran has targeted to export about $2.84 billion worth of non-oil products from this province over the last Iranian year, Darabi noted.

The official stressed that the share of Kermanshah province in the country's total non-oil exports for last year was 10 percent.

Darabi said that the main exported products were fittings, iron, ceramics, fruits and vegetables, construction materials, milk and dairy products, rubber containers, etc.
