BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 24. Iran’s exports of mining products increased by 16 percent in value, in the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, the value of Iran's mining exports for the reporting month amounted to more than $866 million.
Within the first month, Iran exported $506 million worth of raw steel and steel products, $110 million worth of copper and $41 million worth of aluminum.
In addition, Iran imported $247 million worth of mining products in the first month, which is a decrease of 2 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
Thus, Iran imported $63 million worth of steel products, $44 million worth of coal and $38 million worth of alumina powder during the 1st month.
