BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 1. Iran's non-oil exports increased by about 37 percent in value and 1.6 percent in volume, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).
According to the statistics, Iran exported 17 million tons of goods worth more than $8.5 billion in 2 months.
“Whereas, in the same period of last Iranian year, Iran exported a total of 16.7 million tons of goods worth more than $6.2 billion,” the statistics said.
Within first two months of current Iranian year, Iran exported $2.72 billion worth of goods to China, which accounted for 32 percent of Iran's total exports in value.
At the same time, Iran exported $1.5 billion worth of goods to the UAE. The share of the UAE in Iran's total exports was 17.6 percent.
Meanwhile, the value of Iran's exports to Iraq amounted to $1.31 billion, and Iraq's share in Iran's total exports was 15.4 percent.
In two months, Iran exported $766 million worth of goods to Turkey, which accounts for 9 percent of Iran's total exports.
Also, Iran has exported $290 million worth of goods to India, and the country’s share in Iran's total exports was 3.41 percent.
In general, Iran's foreign trade turnover amounted to 22 million tons worth $16.6 billion for the first two months of the current Iranian year.
Trade turnover increased by 30.5 percent in value and 0.4 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
