BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 1. Inflation in Kazakhstan amounted to 14 percent in May 2022, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

Thus, the prices on food products grew by 19 percent compared to May 2021 and by 1.7 percent compared to April 2022.

The prices on non-food increased by 11.9 percent compared to May 2021 and by 1.4 percent compared to April 2022. The prices of paid services went up by 9.1 percent and by 0.8 percent respectively.

The most significant increase in prices for food was observed on granulated sugar (by 60.5 percent), fresh vegetables (by 31.5 percent), flour (by 29.9 percent). The decrease in prices was observed for eggs by 8.1 percent.

The report said that the changes in tariffs and prices for services and goods are observed on 508 positions.
