TEHRAN, Iran, June 28. Iran is monitoring mining operations in a more organized manner, the Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Reza Mohtashmi Pour told Trend.
He stressed regular mapping of mines and the necessity to monitor the country's 12,000 mines although the process will be time-consuming.
Mohtashmi Pour pointed out that the ministry will organize the monitoring of all mines by the end of the current Iranian year (started on March 21, 2022).
According to the official, the ministry seeks new technologies for mapping while the government revenue from mines in the current year is predicted to reach 300 billion rials (about $7 million).
