Belarus seeks to draft road map for to boost economic ties with Iran

TEHRAN, Iran, August 1. Belarus' Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko has stressed the necessity to draft a road map to expand economic cooperation between Iran and Belarus, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.

"We are ready to listen to the suggestions of the Iranian side on this," he said during a meeting with the Iranian delegation led by the Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade Reza Fatemi Amin.

The official has pointed out possible cooperation in advanced technologies, car imports, as well as Belarus' efforts to introduce the Iranian market to Belarus businessmen.

He noted the importance of Iran's commercial routes in the International North South Transportation Corridor for logistics of Belarus.

"Now is the right time to take a fresh look at our relations, to take steps to strengthen our trade and economic cooperation," said Golovchenko.
