BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 10. The lead concentrate production of the Nakhlak Lead Mining Complex in the Isfahan Province (central Iran) increased by 4 percent, during the first three months of the current Iranian year, compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, the complex produced a total of 2,942 tons of lead concentrate in 3 months. Meanwhile, in the same period of the last Iranian year, the figure stood at 2,828 tons.
Also, 59,706 tons of minerals were extracted from the mining complex, which is 85 percent more than in the same period of last Iranian year. So, the figure amounted to 32,275 tons in the same period last Iranian year.
Within 3 months, 2 032 tons of lead concentrate were sent from the complex to related companies, which is 32 percent less than in the same period last Iranian year (2,997 tons).
Reportedly, the Nakhlak Lead Mining Complex has reserves of 1 million tons of lead. The figure is expected to reach 3 million tons by mid-2023.
