BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 19. In total, about 2.54 million tons of goods worth about 175 trillion rials (about $4.17 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), during the last Iranian week (September 10 through September 15, 2022), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

This is an increase of 31.5 percent in value and 28.6 percent in volume compared to the preceding Iranian week (September 3 through September 8, 2022).

So, about 1.98 million tons of goods worth about 133 trillion rials (about $3.16 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME).

According to the report, more than 2 million tons of goods worth about 103 trillion rials (about $2.45 billion) were sold in IME's industrial and mining products section last week.

The main products sold in this section include cement, iron ore, steel, sponge iron, zinc, aluminum, copper, molybdenum concentrate, gold bars and etc.

In addition, about 527,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 70 trillion rials (about $1.66 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week.

The main products sold in this section were polymer substances, vacuum bottoms, lube cuts, chemicals, sulfur, base oil, bitumen and etc.

At the same time, 10,200 tons of various products worth about 1.73 trillion rials (about $41.3 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.

Moreover, 306 billion rials (about $7.28 million), worth of real estate was sold at the IME.
