BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 19. Kazakhstan’s revenues from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via air transport amounted to 7.6 billion tenge ($15.9 million) from January through August 2022, which is 47.3 percent less than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via air transport in August 2022 amounted to 1.4 billion tenge ($3.03 million), which is 7.1 percent less than during the same month of 2021.
The volume of cargo, luggage and cargo luggage transported via air transport during the reporting period amounted to 15,140 tons, which is 32.8 percent less compared to the same period of last year. The volume of cargo transported in August 2022 was 2,400 tons, which is 6.8 percent less than during the same month last year.
Cargo turnover amounted to 34.01 million ton-kilometers which is 32.2 percent less than during the same period of last year.
In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 344.1 billion tenge ($721.5 million) from January through August 2022, which is 29.6 percent more than during the same period of last year. August revenue from passenger transportation was 73.5 billion tenge ($154.2 million), which is 53.4 percent more than in August 2021.
The number of transported passengers amounted to 6.9 million people, which is 14.6 percent more than during the same period of last year (1.1 million passengers in August 2022, up by 24.7 percent).
The passenger turnover amounted to 12.4 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is an increase of 31 percent. The August passenger turnover was 2.2 billion (40.6 percent more year-on-year).
