BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 20. Iran's export of non-oil products to 37 African countries amounted to 1.31 million tons worth about $697 million during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2022), the Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi said, Trend reports citing the administration.

The customs official said that Iran's non-oil exports to African countries for the reporting period increased by 40 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

"Iran mainly exported non-oil products worth about $213 million to the Republic of South Africa, worth $105 million to Mozambique, worth $85.3 million to Sudan, worth $80.9 million to Nigeria, and worth $76.5 million to Ghana in 5 months," he added.

Latifi also pointed out that in total, Iran's foreign trade turnover with African countries for 5 months amounted to more than 1.35 million tons worth $741 million.
