BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 17. Kazakhstan has extracted 86.6 million tons of coal over the period from January through September 2022, which is 4.9 percent more than during the same period of 2021, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The report said that the volume of coal extracted in September 2022 stood at 10.2 million tons, which in turn is 1.6 percent less than in September 2021.

Furthermore, crude oil extraction including gas condensate was 61.8 million tons during the reporting period, which is 1 percent less than during the same period of 2021. Kazakhstan’s September oil output was 5.3 million tons, which also is 5.2 percent less than during the same month of 2021.

Kazakhstan also extracted 39.6 billion cubic meters of natural gas during nine months of 2022 and 2.9 billion cubic meters in September, which is 0.6 percent more and 20.5 percent less year-on-year.

Fuel oil manufacturing volume stood at 2.2 million tons and 252,400 tons during the reporting period and September 2022 respectively, which is 19.1 percent and 12.7 percent more than during the same period of 2021.

Kerosene manufacturing amounted to 524,500 tons over nine months (up by 18 percent) and 60,500 tons in September 2022 (up by 33.8 percent), whereas gasoil manufacturing equaled 4.1 million tons over nine months (up by 8.9 percent) and 524,600 tons in September 2022 (up by 12 percent).

Hydrocarbon liquefied gases output was 877,900 tons over nine months of 2022 with an annual increase of 1.4 percent, whereas September output was 100,100 tons (up by 0.8 percent annual).

Electricity generation over the reporting period of 2022 equaled 83.1 billion kWh, which is 1.2 percent less than during the same period of 2021, whereas the volume of electricity generated in September 2022 amounted to 8.5 billion kWh, which is 4.4 percent more year-on-year.

The volume of thermal energy generated from January through September 2022 amounted to 57.6 million Gcal with an annual decrease of 2.1 percent, whereas September 2022 output was 2.7 million Gcal, which is 14.4 percent less than in September 2021.
