BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 29. In total, 2.92 million tons of goods worth 169 trillion rials (about $4.02 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), during the last Iranian week (October 22 through October 27, 2022), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

This is a decrease of 23.8 percent in value and 0.62 percent in volume compared to the preceding Iranian week (October 15 through October 20, 2022).

So, 2.94 million tons of goods worth 222 trillion rials (about $5.29 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding Iranian week.

According to the report, about 2.51 million tons of goods worth about 108 trillion rials (about $2.56 billion) were sold in IME's industrial and mining products section last week.

The main products sold in this section included cement, iron ore, steel, sponge iron, zinc, aluminum, copper, molybdenum concentrate, gold bars and etc.

In addition, about 373,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 56 trillion rials (about $1.34 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week.

The main products sold in this section were polymer substances, vacuum bottoms, lube cuts, chemicals, sulfur, base oil, bitumen and etc.

At the same time, 35,900 tons of various products worth 5.21 trillion rials (about $124 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
