BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 1. Iran’s non-oil exports from Mazandaran Province (northern Iran), increased by 2 percent in value and 24 percent in volume, during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through October 22, 2022), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Supervisor of Mazandaran Customs Office Asgar Niknafas told Mehr News Agency, Trend reports.

The customs official noted that about 637,000 tons of non-oil products worth more than $161 million were exported from the province in 7 months.

He added that the main exported goods were dairy products, rubber materials, cement, various minerals, chemicals and so on.

“In 7 months, $81.9 million worth of non-oil products from Mazandaran Province were exported to Iraq, about $15.2 million worth - to Russia, $14.9 million worth - to Turkmenistan, $10.3 million worth - to Kazakhstan and about $6 million worth to the UAE,” Niknafas said.

According to him, about 1.3 million tons of goods worth more than $796 million were imported to Mazandaran Province in 7 months, which is an increase of 12 percent in value, while a decrease of 28 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Niknafas pointed out that butter and vegetable oils, corn feed, barley feed, wheat, equipment and others were main imported goods to the province.

“Mainly $316 million worth of goods were imported to the province from Türkiye, $233 million worth - from the UAE, $98.8 million worth - from Russia, $43.4 million worth - from Kazakhstan and $25.7 million worth - from Switzerland during the reporting period,” he said.
