BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 19. In total, about 2.34 million tons of goods worth about 193 trillion rials (about $4.59 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), during the last Iranian week (November 12 through November 17, 2022), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

This is a decrease of 2.5 percent in value and 2.9 percent in volume compared to the preceding Iranian week (November 5 through November 10, 2022).

So, 2.41 million tons of goods worth about 198 trillion rials (about $4.72 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), in the preceding Iranian week.

According to the report, 1.9 million tons of goods worth about 123 trillion rials (about $2.93 billion) were sold in IME's industrial and mining products section last week.

The main products sold in this section included cement, iron ore, steel, sponge iron, zinc, aluminum, copper, molybdenum concentrate, gold bars and etc.

In addition, 412,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 68 trillion rials (about $1.62 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week.

The main products sold in this section were polymer substances, vacuum bottoms, lube cuts, chemicals, sulfur, base oil, bitumen and etc.

At the same time, 17,300 tons of various products worth about 2 trillion rials (about $47.6 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
