BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 3. In total, about 2.32 million tons of goods worth 163 trillion rials (about $4.59 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), during the last Iranian week (November 26 through December 1, 2022), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

This is an increase of 22 percent in value and 18 percent in volume compared to the preceding Iranian week (November 19 through November 24, 2022).

According to the report, 1.9 million tons of goods worth 98 trillion rials (about $2.33 billion) were sold in IME's industrial and mining products section last week.

The main products sold in this section included cement, iron ore, steel, sponge iron, zinc, aluminum, copper, molybdenum concentrate, gold bars and etc.

In addition, 393,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth 64 trillion rials (about $1.52 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week.

The main products sold in this section were polymer substances, vacuum bottoms, lube cuts, chemicals, sulfur, base oil, argon, bitumen and etc.

At the same time, 22,600 tons of various products worth about 1 trillion rials (about $23.8 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
