BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 21. Industrial and mining products accounted for over 60 percent of the value of total sales at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), since the beginning of the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2022 to December 21, 2022), Trend reports citing Tasnim News Agency.
In total, more than 86.5 million tons of various products worth approximately 6.2 quadrillion rials (about $148 billion) were sold on the IME within the mentioned period.
Of this, over 72 million tons worth 3.8 quadrillion rials (about $90.5 billion) accounted for industrial and mining products.
In addition, more than 13.9 million tons of oil and petrochemical products worth 2.32 quadrillion rials (about $55.2 billion) were sold on the Iran Mercantile Exchange for the reporting period. The sales of oil and petrochemical products accounted for 37 percent of the total sales at the IME in terms of value.
