BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 29. In total, 828,000 tons of non-oil products worth about $213 million were exported through the customs of Iran’s Mazandaran Province in the north of the country, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2022), Supervisor of Mazandaran Customs Office Asgar Niknafas told Mehr New Agency, Trend reports.

The official noted that the volume of non-oil exports through the province’s customs for 9 months increased by 17 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“Within 9 months, the non-oil products through the customs of Mazandaran Province were exported to 46 countries, mainly to Iraq (92,000 tons worth $102 million), Russia (378,000 tons worth $23.6 million), Turkmenistan (114,000 tons worth $22.3 million), Kazakhstan (187,000 tons worth $12.7 million), Uzbekistan (8,000 tons worth $7.33 million),” he added.

As for the overall non-oil trade turnover via the province’s customs for 9 months, Niknafas said that the trade turnover amounted to 2.58 million tons worth approximately $1.27 billion, which is an increase of 12 percent in value compared to the same period last Iranian year.
