BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 15. In total, about 2.65 million tons of non-oil products worth $1.44 billion were exported through the customs of Iran’s East Azerbaijan Province in the north-west of the country, during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through February 19, 2023), Customs Inspector of Iran's East Azerbaijan Province Leili Orangi told IRNA, Trend reports.
Orangi said that the non-oil exports via the province’s customs for 11 months decreased by 3 percent in value while increasing by 4 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
She added that the main exported goods were steel products, rubber products, various chemicals, petrochemical products, and food and agricultural products.
The official also pointed out that the mentioned goods were exported to 101 countries, mainly Türkiye, Iraq, the UAE, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.
Meanwhile, Iran exported over 111 million tons of non-oil products worth $48.8 billion within the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through February 19, 2023).
This is an increase of 12.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 1 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
