The key economic objective of the Azerbaijani government on participation in the European Neighborhood Policy is export of ready Azeri products to the European market, Ali Asgarov, the Deputy Minister of Economic development, stated to the workshop �
European policy of new neighborhood’, Trend reports.
He noted that the legislation acts, prepared and submitted to the parliament, were developed with consideration of relevant EU concept. The developing relations between EU and Azerbaijan are a result of right and planned economic policy of the Azerbaijani authorities.
Asgarov underlined that the concept on the Azerbaijan-EU cooperation will allow establishing appropriate basis for the development of the mid-term relations between Baku and Brussels. He said that Azerbaijan developed the draft concept, which will be completed with participation of the European experts in two months. The main direction of the cooperation is energy and transport. The Ministry stated that Azerbaijan will carry out some internal reforms in 10 years, which will enable to raise the country’s economy in a line with the European standards.
