The corporate governance project of the International Financial Corporation, U.S. Embassy and U.S. Department of Commerce held a roundtable discussion with participation of the representatives of the Asian Development Bank, USAID Bankworld Inc., National Bank of Azerbaijan, Saving Banks Foundation for International Cooperation, Sweden State Secretariat for Economic Affairs and international audit company
PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The objective of the meeting was exchange of experience and knowledge on application of standards of corporate governance in Azerbaijan. The discussion was focused on issues of the corporate governance and importance of ethic programs, necessity of trainings for investment beneficiaries, the business environment in the country and the role of the government in development of business
U.S. Department of Commerce also discussed prospects �Good Corporate Governance Program’ during the roundtable discussion.
