INT’L AGRICULTURE DELEGATION COMPLETES VISIT TO AZERBAIJAN

A delegation of ICARDA (International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas) headed by Rajendra Paroda, a coordinator on the Central Asia and South Caucasus, will complete the mission to Azerbaijan on Thursday, Trend reports.

The Scientific-Agrarian Center of the Agriculture Ministry said that on Wednesday

the Ministry hosted a presentation of the project directed at the stable development of agriculture in the Central Asia and South Caucasus, which is implemented by the organization проекС'Р°.

Attending the presentation were representatives of the Agriculture Ministry and specialists of the scientific and research institutes. The project covers 8 countries, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia. After the presentation the development of cooperation in the agrarian sector, opportunities for expansion of joint work in this direction were discussed.

the same day the ICARDA delegation met with Azerbaijani Deputy Agriculture Minister Aslan Aslanov and discussed the prospective cooperation.
